Freshman ?iva Recek (Ko?evje, Slovenia) had the match of a lifetime, hitting 22 kills on a .475 hitting clip, but it wasn?t enough as the No. 18 Florida Gators fell 3-0 (29-27, 25-22, 26-24) to No. 2 Texas in the opening match of the Nike Big Four Classic at Rec Hall on the campus of No. 4 Penn State.
The Gators are now 3-1 on the season while the Longhorns move to 5-0 in 2012.
