African American Marriage/Relationships - Another View is a public ...

The statistics are startling - according to the 2010 Census, 42% of African American adults have never been married, compared to 26% of all American adults.? Thirty-one percent of Black women in their 40's have never been married, compared to 9% of white women, 11% of Asian women and 12% of Hispanic women.?

While the marriage numbers are low, long-term relationship numbers are more favorable.? So why are so few Blacks getting married?? What do we need to know about ourselves before we can enter into a successful long term relationship?? How do we meet "Mr or Ms Right"?? What do we need to teach our sons and daughters so that they are prepared for marriage???On the next Another View we'll talk about African American relationships with private life coach, Ms. Alvean Lyons, CEO of TRACE Success Consulting; and Edward Fairley, author of The Handbook for Increasing Your Relationship IQ.? It's all on Another View, Friday, February 17 at noon on 89.5 WHRV-FM or stream us live at whrv.org.
